Executive Director Responsibilities
Reporting to, and in partnership with, the board of directors, you will lead the team as we continue to strengthen and grow. You are responsible for designing and executing the strategic plan, including development, marketing and communications, and financial planning. In addition you will be responsible for overseeing the administrative tasks to assure compliance with all national and international regulations related to the nature of Play360.
This position is perfect for experienced leaders who are looking for time and location flexibility. This position is considered a time flexible/part time position but could develop into a full time position for the right candidate. You will provide the Board of Directors a clear vision for how your role and needs can support the continued growth and development of the organization.
Position is location independent and you are available for travel (COVID-19 permitting) up to 10% (negotiable) of your time.
Leadership (30%)
- Provide leadership to the team and organization participants including: current admin, media and project staff, volunteers, play360 playmakers.
- Provide insight and guidance to the Board of Directors
- Maintain a relationship with an advisory committee that reflects the Play360 regions and interests
- Promote global leadership by supporting Play360 playmakers and team members to attend conferences, events, speaking engagements, webinars and other events on behalf of Play360
- Execute the 2023 Strategic Plan and work with the team to develop the 2024/2025 plan
Development (30%)
- Develop a sustainable funding strategy for Play360 and execute
- Coordinate and contribute to grant discovery and the grant application process
- Develop and support ongoing relationships with major donors and stakeholders
- Provide monthly reports of funding engagements and activities
Communications and Marketing (10%)
- Oversee and continue to evaluate Play360 messaging and communication strategy
- Oversee maintenance and updating of the website
- Oversee social media outreach and providing content as needed
- Oversee production of annual report
Program (20%)
- Continue to review and standardize program and project materials, including course curriculum, teacher training, building guides and admin materials
- Develop and continue to improve impact tracking methodologies that are consistent with our playmakers needs and on-going organizational development
- Support program and project staff to identify and develop opportunities and address challenges as needed.
- Keep an on-the-ground understanding and in person touch with community playmakers
Administrative (10%)
- Develops and managed the annual budget to be approved by the Play360 Board of Directors
- Improve internal organization, communication and CRM strategies at Play360
- Oversee bookkeeping and all legal and financial tasks with support from the board of directors, bookkeeper, and accountant
- Assure that all Play360 activities are in compliance with national and international laws and regulations
- Oversee general HR responsibilities including team members reports and evaluation, contract creation and oversight, insurance policies
